You obviously know that all your muscles are made of proteins, and this process is affected by alcohol. Excessive consumption of alcohol slows this process down by a whopping 30%. What this means is that, even if your bodybuilding pan is to workout 24/7, you will not have the results that you anticipate as long as you are taking alcohol. Reasons here are simple; there will not be any muscles to build upon when the protein synthesis process has been slowed down.

The increase amounts of fat will increase the processes responsible for fat storage leading to excessive fat deposits under your skin and blood vessels. Alcohol has numerous effects on bodybuilding, it therefore advisable to regulate the amounts you take. Having some small bits of alcohol will not be harmful, but when all you do is gulp down bottles of beer that in itself is dangerous.
